Bill McGill is an accomplished artist and teacher in watercolour, which he has pursued successfully for more than fifty years! We were privileged to have the opportunity of receiving him for a demonstration of landscapes, as he hails from Rustenburg.

There was a wonderful turn-out of SASA members and guests for his demonstration, who were not deterred by the sweltering temperature outside. Those who attended were well-rewarded with an excellent demonstration of his signature blue-gum trees and a riverscape. The society had also implemented its trial of projecting a live video of Bill's demonstration directly onto the screen which allowed his techniques to be seen clearly by all present.
