Dr. Pippa Skotnes conducted a most interesting and insightful walkabout especially for our members of the exhibition, "A Private View" of her father, Cecil Skotnes' work and personal memorabilia, on Saturday, the 21st of June at 11am. Unfortunately one of the two rooms in which the show was being held suffered very severe leaks from the heavy rain the night before the walkabout, and many of the items on display there were removed to prevent any water damage, so we were limited to the one room of the exhibition. However, despite this misfortune, sixteen of our members attended the walkabout, and those of you who could not attend missed out on a fantastic, intimate look at the life and art of Mr. Skotnes, a most valuable treasure to the South African art world, and also an honorary member of SASA.
