Eleanor Palmer Competition

Athenaeum
26 November 2009

The late Eleanor Palmer was a long-standing member and prolific artist. While President of SASA, she presented a cup to the Society to be awarded annually to a member whose work was voted the best at an annual event at the Athenaeum. This competition is great fun and this wonderful social evening marks the end of the SASA year.

On the 26th November 2009, we had the Eleanor Palmer competition and our annual end of year function. There was a record of 66 paintings entered, these were of an exceptional standard, but there had to be a winner. After the voting Karen Burns and Lynn Northam came out with joint 1st prize. Well done to you both!! Solly Gutman and Suzie Kidd shared joint 3rd place.
