Jacqueline Clayton Illustrated Talk
28th May 2009
Jacqueline Clayton entertained us at our monthly meeting with a slide-show and talk on the loves, life and work of Pablo Picasso. Jacqueline is from the UK and has extensively studied the history of European Art.
She belongs to a prominent art society in London, for whom she has presented her talks on European artists. She has travelled extensively and regularly leads groups on European tours, particularly concerning the art and culture of Florence. Jacqueline has always had a real passion for art, which comes across strongly in her talks. She tries to spend six months in South Africa and six months in the UK.
Jacqueline gave an in depth look into the wars, women and associates who influenced Picasso's rather eventful life and the effect they had on his art works. A very interesting insight by a woman who knows her subject extremely well and has a great sense of humour. Thank you Jacqueline.
